"BPL Is Like A Circus": Bangladesh Cricket Team Head Coach's Fiery Rant On T20 League

Bangladesh cricket team head coach Chandika Hathurusingha said that the country does not have a proper T20 tournament and launched a fiery rant on Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). The T20 tournament is currently underway but in a recent interview with  ESPNCricinfo, Hathurusingha said that he sometimes turns off the TV while watching the matches and even went on to point out that some players in the competition are not of the "required class". He added that the International Cricket Council (ICC) needs to step in and stop the 'circus' - a word he used to describe the BPL.

How Gautam Gambhir Transformed Sunil Narine 'The Opener', Rinku Singh Reveals

Sunil Narine opening for Kolkata Knight Riders in this IPL has proved to be a masterstroke and credit for the West Indian's move up the order should go to team mentor Gautam Gambhir, reckons Rinku Singh. Narine smashed his maiden T20 hundred on Tuesday, a 56-ball 109 against Rajasthan Royals. His form at the top this season has been nothing short of remarkable considering he aggregated just 154 runs over the past three seasons while batting lower down the order. As an opener this season, he has already collected 276 runs in six games.

"Has Nothing To Learn From Playing In IPL": Cricket Board Official's Blunt Remark On CSK Star

Defending the Bangladesh Cricket Board's decision to bring back Mustafizur Rahman for the upcoming Zimbabwe T20I series instead of letting him play in Indian Premier League 2024, BCB's cricket operations chairman Jalal Yunus said that the fast bowler has nothing to learn in the Indian tournament. It is worth noting that Mustafizur is currently playing for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2024. He was set to return to Bangladesh on May 1 as per the no-objection certificate received from the BCB, but his stay has been extended by a day on request from CSK. The five-time champions made the request to play Mustafizur in one additional game. CSK take on Punjab Kings on May 1.

"Hardik Pandya Is Injured. He Is Not Admitting It": Ex-New Zealand Star's Explosive Remark

Former New Zealand fast bowler Simon Doull believes that Indian cricket team all-rounder Hardik Pandya has suffered an injury but he is not admitting it. The comment came after Hardik opened the bowling for Mumbai Indians in the first two matches in IPL 2024 but refrained from bowling a single delivery in the next two encounters. During the match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Thursday, Hardik bowled a single over but did not come back after conceding 13 runs. Doull said that there is something wrong with Hardik and it is his 'gut feeling' that the all-rounder may be suffering from some injury.

Watch: Chennai Silenced As MS Dhoni Drops Dangerous Andre Russell's Catch in CSK vs KKR IPL 2024 Game

Chennai Super Kings produced a very controlled bowling performance as Kolkata Knight Riders could manage only 137/9 in 20 overs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Monday. After opting to bowl, CSK bowlers , particularly Ravindra Jadeja and Tushar Deshpande, kept KKR quiet as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Both the bowlers took three wickets each as the dangerous KKR batting line-up was left with a tough job at hand. Towards the end of the innings, a rare incident happened - of that of MS Dhoni dropping a catch.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to appoint Muhammad Yousuf and Abdul Razzaq as interim head coach and assistant coach, respectively, for the home T20 series against New Zealand later this month. The decision comes as negotiations with foreign coaches Gary Kirsten and Jason Gillispie continue for a long-term role.
